So as soon as a strong bloon is on the screen, it’s gonna get popped by them. Why? Because snipers have no hit limit and are almost always set to strong target. And, speaking of which, if at all possible avoid snipers and glue gunners. The only problem you might hit is camo lead bloons, in which case you’ll just have to drop a 1/2 sniper set to strong. That being said, I’ve completed MANY levels using just 2/1 glue gunners and 1/1 spike factories. If the regen bloon is too high of a level, the glue will wear off before it pops it. Please note that glue does work on regen bloons, though it takes quite a bit longer because they will regenerate layers as they’re popping. The only thing it won’t fully dissolve is ceramics. Consider the fact that 1 shot from a 2/1 glue gunner can dissolve rainbow bloons and lead bloons and will keep them slowed the entire time it does it. The glue’s job is to hit the strongest, and slowly dissolve them along the way. That’s your ninjas/engineer/boomerangers jobs. The trick is to set them to strong and put 1 at the beginning of the course and 1 in the middle, preferably somewhere that can cover multiple lanes. You’ll want 2/1 and they’re not very expensive. Why? Because glue gunners are SOOOOOOO much better. If using glue gunners, I tend to avoid snipers (explained in glue gunner part).Īs for ice towers, these are another one I almost always avoid. If you can afford it, 1/1 is the way to go. Snipers are fantastic for popping lead bloons when you’re using ninjas or engineers. That’s why I tend to put them in path circles or try to position them close to the edge of the screen (reduces your spawning circle by half and gives you more control over where they’ll spawn). The ONLY downside to them is you don’t get to pick where the turrets spawn. I’ve cleared levels with just 3/2 engineers. It’s incredibly powerful, especially with 2/x. Their turret ability should not be underestimated. Abuse it.Įngineers haven’t been getting a lot of love in this thread either. Please note that the “straightaway/set monkey to last” tactic works on many monkeys, including apprentices, engineers, and even regular dart monkeys. Just let those shurikens tear through the lines of bloons and then stick a spike factory (why didn’t they name it a tacktory?), another ninja monkey, or even a regular dart monkey at the end to pick up any stragglers. If you have a nice straightaway, don’t bother with the x/1 upgrade. This means you get the full popping power of every throwing star from that monkey. It tears through the lines of baddies and doesn’t cause the monkey to aim slightly left or right when a bloon gets close. A tactic people should be using is putting them on the end of a straightaway (or even a shallow arc), and setting target to “Last”. The fact that they come with camo detection innately is a huge bonus. Ricochet is OK for popping bloons, but you have to deal with that arc throw until you get to 3/x. Their biggest fault is their horrible arc pattering when they throw their boomerangs. I’ve logged countless hours on BTD5 and have played BMC for the last 4 days straight (probably sunk way more time in it than I should have!).įirst off, I’m not a huge fan of boomerang monkeys. I do, however, want to chime in on some things I feel are inaccurate. It’s awesome when people use their free time to help others. It is easy to point to game devs to fix it, but it seems more like kongregate issue currently and related to some changes around 2 days ago.First off, I want to thank Nealn for taking the time to write this post. Sometimes I get those informations from server around 30 mintes into playing… Same with Video ads, I click to see one, even in CotLI, and well maybe in 5-10 mintes the video pops up, but gives error and basically makes game window blank. If it is something game devs did, then for some reason all the games broke at once, so all the devs made some change on same time… And what makes it weirder, is that it kinda works, but at the same time it doesn’t. Realm Grinder and GemCraft have problems getting information about “permanent” boost package purchase information that seems to be coming from kongregate servers. The video ads that you can watch for temporary boosts in games don’t work either. I have same issues with multiple games, problems started around 1/2 days ago, around the same time the stupid chat ads started showing up. Unfortunately it is not only specific game related.
